Here at Vertical Blue we have been involved in First Aid Training for well over 30 years and counting.
With a background in Adventurous Activities in some of the remotest areas of the planet, we have undertaken and delivered extensive 1st Aid Training that has had to match the areas we have been working in. From the wildest reaches of Antarctica to the remotest beaches of Cornwall we have courses available to suit you or your workplaces needs all run by Outdoor Professionals.
Vertical Blue is a Qualsafe Registered Training centre; one of the largest Ofqual registered Awarding Organisations in the UK.
We can offer courses at your place of work or host training at our centres around the West of Cornwall. All courses can be tailored to your groups needs to ensure maximum benefit to your organisation to help participants become confidant using the skills, ensuring a valuable investment. We make our courses as Interactive and Hands-On as possible, no endless Powerpoint here but plenty of scenarios to test or refresh those First Aid Skills that are an absolute LIFE SAVER!

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
The Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) course meets Health and Safety (First Aid) 1981 Regulations. A 3-day course that provides your on-site first aiders with all of the necessary knowledge to approach a range of different health conditions and injuries managing health and safety within your workplace.

Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid
Our Paediatric First Aid course teaches essential skills for responding to emergencies with infants and children, including CPR, choking, recovery position, and more, ideal for nurseries or if your working with infants and young children.

Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for people acting in unsupported outdoor roles. Ideal for Outdoor Activity Leaders, Bushcraft Instructors, Canoe Instructors or Duke of Edinburgh assessors who run activities where medical help could be up to a few hours away.

Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid
This short, yet informative course provides learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed for the treatment of injuries and diseases that could occur whilst working in a forestry/agricultural specific environment. Topics covered are: extreme hot and cold temperatures, managing catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries and Lyme disease. Designed to be run alongside the EFAW or FAW course.

Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.
