FAQ’s
Is it dangerous?
It can be of you went on your own or without an accredited organization. All of our guides are trained to the highest of standards to ensure you are in the best of hands at all times. We have explored the areas we use at all states of tide and wind and swell so we know what works and what to avoid. In the right hands it is one of the most exciting water-based activities you can do!
Who is it for?
If you are over 8 years of age and can swim comfortably in the sea you can come on a trip. You will always have a wetsuit and buoyancy aid along with a helmet to keep you bobbing along with the group. We do like to push the comfort levels but no part of the trip has to be completed and we just ask that you enjoy yourselves!
Do I have to jump?
You have to be able to step off a small height to get into the sea but no jump is compulsory. Each obstacle can be moved around and we wont get you to do anything you don’t want too. You may surprise yourselves though if you just look straight ahead!
Whats Involved?
Changing tides, swell, wildlife, stunning geology all the while learning about the Coastal Environment that you are immersed in. Most sessions last around 2 hours and you’ll get the chance to scramble over the shoreline, swim alongside seals, check out amazing arches and caves and also throw yourselves off a few rocks.
What Next?
We run a couple of sessions per week when the conditions are at their best. We do need a minimum of 4 to run a trip and we will schedule them to best suit the given sea state in the area. All safety kit is supplied but you will need to bring some old trainers (that you don’t mind getting wet of course) and some shorts to fit over your wetsuits. Unfortunately, wetsuit shoes are not adequate or any form of open water shoe as you will be scrambling up and over the coastal environment and need full protection.
